A Holiday Restoration Practice

with Rebecca

Winter and the holidays are upon us - there is no better time to turn inward and rejuvenate through a restorative yoga practice. As our surroundings draw into their dormant winter state and creatures in the natural world begin to rest in hibernation, within our own everyday lives we often find frenetic energy, long to-do lists, anxiety, and fatigue. This restorative yoga practice uses props to cultivate physical comfort, allowing for release in the body and us to tap into the potential of stillness in our minds. Resting in connection to our inner silence is a practice as challenging as any other. This work nourishes and grounds us - teaching us that with practice, we can rest in and trust our capacity to fully show up for ourselves and the world around us.

Space Maker will combine gentle yoga movement with Self Myofascial Release techniques. These techniques reach our muscle fibers and connective tissues, creating the potential for new experiences within the poses. This practice will be accessible and appropriate for beginners as well as more advanced practitioners. Saturday morning will focus on the upper body including neck, shoulders, wrists, and breathing mechanics. Sunday evening we'll focus on the lower body, spending time in hips, legs, and feet.

Cultivating Stillness and Clarity

Starting and Sustaining a Meditation Practice

with Liz C

This workshop series is for anyone curious about starting or reinvigorating a daily meditation practice. Each session will include lecture, gentle asana, meditation, time for reflection and questions and optional homework. We will examine various styles of meditation including sitting, standing, and walking meditations. We will also explore strategies for making your meditation practice unique, meaningful, and sustainable.

This workshop series is an excellent foundation for beginners as well as having enough content to interest more experienced practitioners. While it is encouraged to do all the sessions, folks dropping in later in the series will be supported with recaps of material previously covered. Please dress comfortably as we will engage in gentle movement.

Full Series: $120

Individual Session: $50

Session One: Finding Your Meditative Seat

Jan 11, 2-4pm

We will explore seated meditation from the yogic lense of Śrī Vidyā Tantra and the lineage of the Himalayan Masters. Participants will learn what even is a 'meditative seat'. Then, we will work with different access points to and variations of this more commonly recognizable, sitting style of Yoga meditation.

Session Two: Rooted, not Rigid

Jan 18, 2-4pm

We will review information from session one and introduce a few more concepts surrounding seated meditation. We will start a survey of standing and walking meditations that have developed out of various Chinese Qi Gong practices.

Session Three: Stillness in Movement

Feb 1, 2-4pm

After reviewing key concepts from the first two sessions, participants will commune together to construct and walk a Labyrinth. Thus introducing (or perhaps reintroducing) folks to a meditation style stemming from Western mystical traditions.

Anti-New Year’s Resolution

Restorative Reiki Yoga

with Bodie Bryte

While much of the world sees this as a time to hustle and set new goals, nature reminds us that winter is a season of rest and stillness. Join us for a deeply restorative reiki yoga class that honors the natural rhythm of the season and aligns with the wisdom of winter. Together, we’ll create space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your inner stillness.

In this class, participants will be guided through classic restorative yoga poses fully supported by props. These poses facilitate your body’s return to its natural alignment and help balance the nervous system by activating the parasympathetic response, promoting deep rest.

During the poses, Bodie will move through the room offering reiki to participants who choose to receive it. Reiki channels universal life force energy to balance your body’s subtle energies, accelerate natural healing, and facilitate deep relaxation and a sense of well-being. Reiki can be offered with hands-on or hands-off techniques—your preference
